From the Pastor’s Desk…

Minister Brandon Stepter, Living Hope Bible Church Youth Department
September 17, 2017

Our First Youth Service was held Sunday, September 17th and was a
big success. You might wonder how we measure success! Here’s
how.......a young woman responded to hearing the Word of God and
she surrendered her life to Christ!!!

Here are some notes that from the message delivered by
Minister Brandon Stepter:

“Be Imitators of God” - Ephesians 5:1 - 2

1. Who are you imitating ?
How do you compare what you are doing to God?

2. God sent His son to be the best example for us.

3. We need to spend time with God in order to be able to imitate

4. Love like Christ. Walk in love. Value one another. Practice
empathy and compassion. “ ... a s Christ also loved us and gave
Himself for us as a sweet smelling aroma for us....”

5. Worship God. What does it all mean?
When we study God’s Word and imitate Him, we are
worshipping Him.

Our Youth Led worship Service will be held each 3rd
Sunday at 10:00am in the Chapel. Come out, bring
your entire family! You will be blessed tremendously!!

From the Pastor's Desk.....

Please continue to pray for our building project. The projected start date was moved from August 7th to August 14th.

Continue to drive by and look at YOUR property. You are guardians of this property. If you see anything that looks amiss, i.e., fence down or trash or gates unlocked or anything that looks out of place, please call the church office.

It’s Time Living Hope Bible Church to build our 1st permanent church home. ARE YOU ALL IN??

Stay up to date on your commitments and giving.

If you are able to give more of your commitment sooner than later, that will be great.

Nehemiah 2:17-18, 17 Then I said to them, "You see the trouble we are in: Jerusalem lies in ruins, and its gates have been burned with fire. Come, let us rebuild the wall of Jerusalem, and we will no longer be in disgrace." 18I also told them about the gracious hand of my God on me and what the king had said to me. They replied, "Let us start rebuilding." So they began this good work.

Message from the Pastor

"Having Your Discipleship Tested"

Following Jesus is not an easy task. Constant battles between what self desires and what Christ requires rage in our spiritual life. The discipline of walking by faith and not by sight demands daily maintenance. We experience great moments of triumph through obedience, faith and trusting God. Our joy is sometimes eclipsed by deep and wide valleys of defeat, introduced to us through disobedience and/or doubting our Lord. Isn’t it a blessing to serve a God who, in the very middle of triumph and defeat, gives us His peace which passes all understanding (Philippians 4:7)? Each time we are tested in life, this profound question beckons to us desiring an answer "are you counting the cost"?" When you struggle with a commitment that you’ve made to God, are you counting the cost? Counting the cost involves living within the peace of God (not worrying about anything) Philippians 4:6 and operating above the past, present, and future circumstances. Counting the cost means gazing at God and glancing at the circumstances. Circumstances will come and go but the peace of God, which passes all understanding is available always through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Yours in Christ,
Pastor Robin D. Holland
