If you died right now,
where would you go? If you're not sure, let us share with you the good news
that God loves you and offers you eternal life in heaven as a free gift. He
has a plan for your life and wants come into a relationship with you. There
are simply four principles that will help you discover how to come into a
personal relationship with God: (the following scriptures are taken from the
NIV Bible)

| GOD
LOVES YOU AND HAS A PLAN FOR YOUR LIFE |

God loves you:
"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that
whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life."
(John 3:16)
God wants your
life to be full and meaningful:
(Jesus speaking) "I have come that they may have life, and have
it to the full." (John 10:10) |

# 2 |
| MAN
IS SEPARATED FROM GOD BECAUSE OF HIS SIN |

Sin
is anything that we say, do, or think, that is wrong, or
displeases God. Sin has separated us from a relationship with God. The
penalty for sin is death and hell. Though people continue to try to reach
God through their own efforts, we can never be good enough to reach God.
Man is sinful:
"For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God" (Romans
3:23)
The penalty for sin is eternal separation from God:
"For the wages of sin is death" (spiritual separation from God)

| JESUS
CHRIST IS THE ONLY WAY TO GOD |

Because
Jesus died for our sins, we can come into a relationship with God. God
offers us eternal life with Him in heaven as a free gift because of what
Jesus has done.
Jesus died for our sins:
"But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were
still sinners, Christ died for us." (Romans 5:8)
He rose from the dead:
"Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was
buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures"
(1 Corinthians 15:3-4)
Jesus is the ONLY way:
Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one
comes to the Father except through me. (John 14:6) |

# 4 |
| WE
MUST INDIVIDUALLY RECEIVE JESUS AS LORD AND SAVIOR |

Just
like any gift, we must receive God's gifts in order to have eternal life.
We must give our lives to
Jesus and receive Him into our hearts. Once
we take this step, we come back into a relationship with God.
We are saved by
believing that Jesus is the Son of God and was raised from the dead.
"That if you confess with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,' and believe
in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."
(Romans 10:9)
We receive Christ through faith, or a trusting belief in Him.
"For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith--and this
not from yourselves, it is the gift of God--not by works, so that no one
can boast." (Ephesians 2:9) |
